MSM Three Questions: Natasha Nix

Hello, my dear Muscle Shoals Meets fam! How's your 90s Mixtape Week going? Ugh. I've been a little under the weather, friends. I can't believe I missed Sunday's doubleheader and last night's "Skydog" preview. What's done is done. Memaw life strikes again.

Thank goodness for my MSM network, though. I've sure enjoyed seeing clips of all the great 90s Mixtape Week performances that went down the past two days. Thank you all so much for (literally) "sharing" this experience with me. Absolutely phenomenal. I love MSM. I love my hometown.

I'll tell you this: Come hell or high water, I will be at the Lava Room tonight for Muscle Shoals Meets the 90s Alternative night. The Shoals' own, Ghost River Revival, is spearheading this event. It's going to be two sets of iconic 90s alternative classics performed by beloved local superstars. For a $10 donation to the cause -- let's build some special needs playgrounds, friends -- your face will be melted, promise. Seriously, these guys can't wait to rock your face off.

As a little pre-game prep for tonight's Lava Room show, how about this?

Three Questions with Ghost River Revival front woman powerhouse, Natasha Nix

1. Why? That's it, that's question one: Why do you participate in MSM shows? They're a lot of work -- why is it worth it? Seriously. Canned response not allowed.

Natasha: Well there's no denying feeling pride in being involved in such a big part of our community. It's such an honor to be involved and I love these guys. So yeah, I do it for the love and knowing we are all coming together for something wonderful.

2. Of the songs that you're working on for 90s Mixtape Week, what are YOU looking forward to and why?

Natasha: We have a few surprises mixed up in our set list that I know will get a great reaction. And the dancing man.

3. Anybody you want to thank?

Natasha: I want to thank Russell Freaking Mefford and the band, The Fiddleworms!
