MSM Musings: Karaoke For a Cause

Good Sunday morning, MSM 90s party people!
How great was Karaoke For a Cause, friends? It was beyond great, right? We even walked the red carpet, y'all. How cool was that? Bless our little 90s-loving hearts. A good time was had by all, that's for sure, and it was literally all for the kids.
When it comes to kickoff parties, this one was next level. How cool was it having Shoals legend, Wayne Chaney, adding color commentary to the event??
A big congratulations going out to our beloved "zero waste" homegrown fashion icon, Natalie Chanin, for being the brainchild behind this first ever MSM event. Natalie championed Kimberly DeLape and Kristy Bevis for making the event happen -- great job, y'all. Our MSM family keeps setting the bar so very high, friends.
Y'all! The 90s-inspired fashion was hella fly. Ashley Brown serving Shania Twain made my 90s heart skip a beat. It was Allison Mefford, though, in her Cher-tastic red plaid Clueless-inspired ensemble that had me buggin'. Good stuff, friends.
The performances were da bomb, too. The Fabulous Baker Boys set the tone by reminding us ... Backstreet's back. Kristy Bevis encouraged us all to embrace our inner bitch and Rob Carnegie made us long for a walk in Memphis. Both Gary Nichols and Billy Reid took us back to our country roots and Kaytrina Simmons helped us see clearly.
I think we can all agree that Payton Walker's spectacular Britney Spears' "Oops I Did It Again" performance was a big highlight of the night. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
A personal highlight of the night for me was seeing Wanda Wesolowski on stage for the first time. Her rendition of Lisa Loeb's "Stay" made me want to watch one of my all-time favorite movies, "Reality Bites."
Robert Rausch's GAS Studios in Tuscumbia proved the perfect setting for this fun melding of music, fashion, food, and friends. It was so nice to see pretty much all of the Rausch family in attendance supporting the event. Robert, Rob, and Bella (Rausch) even took to the Karaoke stage. They were joined by Natalie (as an honorary Rausch) in their spirited rendition of the Sheryl Crow and Kid Rock duet, "Picture." It was so fun -- a real treat.
Natalie said it best, "Every single performance was a treat."
The whole entire night was a treat, MSM fam. Gotta love it when you walk away from an event still smiling ear-to-ear. My face was literally hurting from smiling so much. That's a win. I bet Karaoke For a Cause becomes an annual MSM event. Don't you?
