MSM Three Questions: Ashley Brown

Good morning, Muscle Shoals Meets the 90s family! Guess what? 90s Country night is finally here and I can barely contain my excitement. How about we play Three Questions with Ashley Brown to help us prepare for tonight's celebration of the golden era of country music?

1. Why? That's it, that's question one: Why do you participate in MSM shows? They're a lot of work -- why is it worth it? Seriously. Canned response not allowed.

Ashley: Why? Because why wouldn’t I??? It’s an honor to be included in something so special. Giving back to the community is very important and everyone coming together for the kids makes it even more amazing.

2. Of the songs that you're working on for Mixtape Week, what are YOU looking forward to and why?

Ashley: If you know me, you know that I think 90’s country was the absolute best! So needless to say, I am so excited about every song for Country Night!! Plus, I feel like I’m getting to do one of the best known songs of that decade and getting to do my first “wardrobe change” with it makes me even more excited/nervous!!!

3. MSM is such a collaborative, encouraging, joyful family -- who would you like to thank and why?

Ashley: Russell Mefford, of course. What a special person he is and does such good in the community. Also without Mike Dillon throwing my name out there last year, I don’t know that I’d be doing this today so I will always say thank you to him.

I’m telling you, this is just the second year that I have been involved with this event and everyone has been so supportive and has welcomed me with open arms. It’s just what you said, it’s family with a lot of big, different personalities with a whole lot of love that come together for the music and the kiddos
